Typography & Architecture: Homage to Bradbury Thompson

The scope of this project is to educate readers about the history of typography and architecture. Bradbury Thompson, an American graphic designer and art director, inspired the design aesthetics of this piece. Bradbury Thompson was best known for his use of CMYK, which determined the color scheme for this project.

This project gives a brief history of typography along side architecture from the fifteenth century gothic period to present day contemporary. This book is constructed as an accordion fold to emphasize the continuous timeline and change in history. Architectural blueprints inspired my illustrations within the piece and the wooden case complements historical wood type as well as the raw materials of architectural subjects.
